Bob Brady

I am really excited to introduce you to our guest today, Bob Brady, who grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Massachusetts.

He is a retired Marine Corps Colonel who served for thirty years. He was a Marine Aviator. During his career, he and so many of his peers, often deployed overseas for extended periods of time when their children were young.  Like so many military families, extended deployments away from home can present significant challenges, for both the parents and their children. It requires exceptional parenting from both the father and the mother.

Last month we celebrated Mother’s Day. This month we celebrate Father’s Day, and to those fathers who have been challenged in life to always present a good role model for their children, even when they can’t always be present as much as they would want to be due to external work requirements.  It is why, when I was thinking of someone who could speak to the issues of fathers today, that I thought of Bob. I think you will appreciate his thoughts, about he and his many fellow fathers in the USMC, coped with how to be the best father you can be for the WELLNESS of your children, even during very challenging times.
